Christine所开发的标签插件UTW（Ultimate Tag Warrio）曾为wordpress用户广泛使用。如今已经“淡出”wordpress的江湖，原因在于它提供的tag功能太强大了。所以随着wp2.3的推出，UTW插件被wordpress团队收编化为己有，它已经生长在wordpress体内，成为其一个核心组成部分了。
早在Ultimate Tag Warrio时代，作者就提供了Inline Tag adder插件，配合UTW插件可以直接给文章增减标签，很方便的功能，但当时此插件似乎只对某些模板（如k2）起作用，所以一直没有用上。

升级wordpress2.3.2后，我关注的Inline Tag adder功能终于轻易实现，那就是UTW原作者的用 AJAX 编写而成的Inline Tag Thing插件，用它搭配wordpress的内置tag功能，即可傻瓜式操作tag关键字。把它放到plugins文件夹里激活就可以使用。在登陆状态（仅在登陆状态）下，你的文章底部有一个tag编辑框出现，在Add tags输入框填入关键字，按“+”按钮，直接给文章加上标签。现有标签后面带有[-]，点击直接删除相应标签，非常方便。

如果习惯离线书写博客，发布文章没有关键字标签也没关系，用它给文章加上标签就ok了，不用进wordpress就能管理你的文章关键字。例如，此文在firefox下使用离线博客书写工具scribefire完成。标签随后加的。

要给你以前的文章加上标签，使用这个插件将会非常高效。
08年1月初期就已经装上这个插件，因为忙或懒惰，今天介绍给朋友们使用。

今天有时间把分页插件pagenavi升级到2.2版，但一直不能正常工作，索性把除了pagenavi以外的所有插件禁用，结果如愿正常显示。

看来问题就在某个插件身上。把插件分批启用，刷新页面（期间wp-cache关闭，以保证页面正常更新），愚公精神还是有用的，最后发现应该是一个文章置顶插件WP-Sticky与之有冲突，具体原理不明白。wordpress插件WP-Sticky会导致pagenavi2.2无法正常使用，会把分页条显示为类似“1of0”的样子。

pagenavi2.2支持标签搜索结果分页，以前的版本至少在我的博客没有这个功能。增加了管理面板，你可以对其diy了，通过修改它的css对其进一步美化，如更改颜色、字体等。

升级之wordpress2.3后,并将utw标签转换为wordpress2.3内置标签,一切看上去正常工作,但我试图编辑一篇文章时却发现无法保存,出现如下提示:
WordPress database error: [Table ‘domain.wp_post2cat’ doesn’t exist]……
反复查找原因,不得其解。想起前两天的文章：wordpress2.3正式版下周一推出中提到Google Sitemap在wp2.3中会有问题，于是把它禁用，问题解决。在新的Google Sitemap插件出来之前，先放弃Google Sitemap吧。

Google Sitemap禁用虽然解决了这个问题，但它的功能我们还是需要的。花儿开了做了个Google Sitemap for wp2.3的修正版

我期待wordpress2.3的原因之一是它的内置标签功能，只要有utw的主要功能就可以，最好有个tag-adder功能，不必在编辑状态下进行，可以随时添加标签。

Preparing for 2.3

In just a few short days WordPress 2.3 will be coming out with tons of new features that (hopefully) will make you want to upgrade right away. Well while you have a bit of time over this lovely weekend, here are some things you can do to help yourself prepare for the big upgrade on Monday:

• Back up your blog. It never goes out of style, and we have a nifty Codex page with a few different methods.
• Check for the latest versions of your plugins. Here’s a list of known compatible and incompatible plugins with 2.3, Google Sitemaps seems to be one causing a lot of issues. (Forum thread.) Upgrading might get you cool new features anyway. Don’t forget about our plugin directory.
• Enjoy the last time you have to check for plugin updates manually, as 2.3 will do it magically behind the scenes.
• Read up on how to modify your theme to add tag support.
• Consider switching your install to use Subversion to make updating ultra-easy.
• Make a list of your friends who are less computer literate so you can help them upgrade. (Maybe throw an upgrade party?)
